TREX, an event created and managed by William H. Coleman, Inc., is recognized as one of the most productive business development events of the year for Central America Tourism. The Event provides Tour Operators, Travel Buyers, and Retail Travel Agents from the USA and Canada an opportunity to negotiate, educate, and evaluate travel products and services provided Suppliers only from Central America.

The unique TREX format features three (3) primary activities: (1) A Tour Operator "Marketplace" featuring the exclusive Coleman Incorporated SelectMatch Pre-Scheduled Appointments System; (2) Travel Agent seminars and "How To Sell" workshops featuring all Central America Countries; and (3) A Travel Exposition featuring pre-scheduled “mini-sales presentations” between Retail Travel Agents and Suppliers and Tour Operators.  Pre/Post Tours in Guatemala and other Central America countries are also provided.

Supplier Registration Fees are $950 (including one delegate) plus $225 for each additional delegate including booth/office for Marketplace and Travel Exposition. In addition to the business sessions, seminars, and city tours, this year’s TREX featured a welcome Evening Reception hosted by INGUAT, the Guatemala Government Organization responsible for developing Tourism into the Country, Lunches” sponsored by William H. Coleman, Inc, and Porta Hotels, Seminar Coffee Breaks sponsored by Hotel Soleil La Antigua, and “An Evening In Guatemala City” hosted by Clark Tours.  Other hosts/sponsors included American Airlines (The Official TREX Airline) and Gray Line Tours Mundomaya.

TREX was created and is managed by William H. Coleman, Inc., a worldwide event management firm with offices in Jacksonville, Toronto, and London.  The firm's President & CEO Irma Coleman stated:  "TREX was originally started 10 years ago to provide a relatively inexpensive way for the smaller Central America Suppliers to increase their business from global markets.  That certainly happened this year as the historical city of Antigua, and Guatemala, proved to be popular venues.”  Mrs. Coleman also announced that next year’s TREX will be held April 2009 in Panama City, Panama.
